Eliminating barriers to create an ecosystem of support for female artists

Women earn 70% of Bachelor of Fine Arts and 65–75% of Master of Fine Arts degrees in the U.S., though only 46% of working artists (across all arts disciplines) are women. Where do all the female artists go? The gender pay gap hasn’t changed much in 20 years, women earn 18% less than their male counterparts for equal work. Women have 18% less resources to contribute to their art practice while building their careers.

Faze is a platform to learn, connect, and be inspired by the groundbreaking artists that came before. To address historic and systemic barriers, I created a digital art space to support female artists by amplifying their stories. I designed an immersive retail and media platform to engage art collectors in new ways. Faze connects audiences to the creative visions and voices of female artists undervalued in the Contemporary art market.

I developed a brand strategy that diverges from the status quo and embraces personal storytelling. The brand identity builds off of the creative legacies of female designers and artists. Faze is grounded in the belief of community over competition.
